Favourites: Staghorn ferns! (Platycerium) — Just hanging, no soil… how easy!

Ice says:

I grow Staghorn ferns in three greenhouses in my backyard. I’ve recently started running my own nursery, platyboy.com, to sell some of my Staghorn ferns.

Caring for Staghorn ferns are easy.  Hang them with moss or some wood bark. I style my plants by finding the right wood bark that’s suitable to mount my plant on.

I always check my plants at night because insects come out at night, especially “worm” which eat young leaves.

“Dry out before watering” is the key to growing healthy Staghorn ferns. Most of Staghorn ferns die because of too much watering.  So, keep them dry!
